Triggering impulses, working in an experiential way, promoting critical attitudes through action, involving the body in learning processes ... These educational practices, in tune with the centre’s educational philosophy, are based on the construction of knowledge through experience. Thus, the exhibition’s performative routes focus on the spectator's experience and turn their gaze towards current art. In this way, we create meeting spaces in which to experiment and construct critical discourse regarding contemporary work.

At this time, we wish to invite you to visit two of CA2M’s exhibitions with us.
On Saturdays at 6:30 PM we propose visiting TRÉMULA, artist Javi Cruz’s exhibition, together. And on Sundays at 12:30 PM, VEROÍR EL FRACASO ILUMINADO (EXPERIENCE THE ILLUMINATED FAILURE) by the artist Cecilia Vicuña. There will be a maximum of 6 people.

To sign up, write to educacion.ca2m@madrid.org or call 91 276 02 21. You can also come directly to the museum and, if there are not too many of us, join the tour by leaving your details at reception. We take all of these measures in order to take care of ourselves and to take care of you, though we are aware that these measures may change according to the situation. We look forward to meeting up with you again.

Biografías

Manuel Segade and Tania Pardo guide us through the exhibition called Dialecto CA2M – made up of the CA2M Collection and the ARCO Foundation Collection – to introduce us to a century of contemporary art history in Madrid but told from Móstoles.

The stories and anecdotes about the works on display are interwoven with the way they are displayed; with the change of lighting, the colours of the walls or via posters with unusual information about the artworks.

It’s not a question of seeing the exhibition with its protagonists but of them accompanying us on a collective journey through a public collection that belongs to all the inhabitants of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.

The fact that we talk to each other as a museum is a way of showing that what seems to be ours is really yours.

Dates:

28 November: Manuel Segade

12 December: Tania Pardo

19 December: Manuel Segade

9 January: Tania Pardo

At the beginning of 2020 we will be opening the exhibition Absurd Humour: A Constellation of Folly in Spain and, similarly to other occasions, we have invited an artist to prepare what we call a Positioned Visit. This time Alba Rihe has created an audio-guide that will take us on a trip through the exhibition, with what could be considered a soundtrack which is a kind of pastiche, a chimera of voices, a word whispered in your ear that caresses the eardrum and which we hope will make us break out in hysterical laughter in the exhibition hall.

The audio-guides are available free of charge at the museum reception desk during the course of the exhibition. You can also listen the audio on Soundcloud or download in your devices here:
